Who Is Jesus?

We are so glad you are here and want to know more about who Jesus is. Wherever you are on the journey to learning more about God, you are welcome here. You may be surprised that a relationship with God doesn’t require a bunch of good acts, and it doesn’t involve you striving to be a better person so you will be accepted by him. God has made it clear in the Bible that we can begin a relationship with God right now through Jesus Christ. Here’s how…

You Have a Purpose.

Recognize That God Loves You and Has a Plan For Your Life.

Isn’t that amazing news? YOU are here on purpose.

The Bible tells us, “God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

Jesus said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” – a complete life full of purpose. (John 10:10)

Here’s the Problem.

We Are Separated From God By Our Sin.

Simply, we don’t have it all together. We all have done things, said things, thought things. Those things are called “sin.” The word sin is the Bible means to miss the mark. Picture yourself aiming at a target but not having the ability on your own to hit the mark. That’s sin. No matter how much we try in our own ability we will always fall short. The Bible tells us that every one of us “have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) The unfortunate reality is that the result of sin is death, which is spiritual separation from God. (Romans 6:23) It’s spiritual separation and loss of true identity and purpose.

However, there is good news. In fact, it’s the best news anyone could ever hear. The good news is that God has a solution.

Here’s the Solution.

Jesus Came to Die For Your Sins.

God loves you so deeply that he sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the price for our sins. Jesus died in our place so we could be reunited with God and share eternity with him. The great news is that this “eternal life” and personal relationship with God begins now.

“And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” (John 17:3)

“God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

But that’s not where it ends. He rose again and conquered death. He is alive!

“Christ died for our sins…he was buried…he was raised on the third day, according to the scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

Jesus is the only way to God. He said,

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the father, but through me.” (John 14:6)

Receive God’s Forgiveness.

All we have to do is acknowledge and confess our sinful state before God. We must acknowledge Him as Lord of our life. This means we profess that we will live for Him now and obey His word, the Bible. We surrender our ideas and thoughts on how we desire to live or think life should be lived all to Him. We trust Jesus to lead our life and have authority over our life.

“If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
(1 John 1:8-9)

“…because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
(Romans 10:9 & 10)

That’s it. We confess Jesus as Lord and accept God’s love for us, and his forgiveness for our sins. Are you ready to turn from your sins, from the past mistakes of your life and enter a new life with Jesus?

Simply Pray This Prayer.

Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I’m so sorry for my rebellion. I ask for your forgiveness and I’m so grateful you sent Jesus to die in my place. I want to trust him. I want the purpose for my life that you offer. I give my life to you.  You are Lord of my life. Guide me and help me follow you. Thank you. Amen.

“And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11-12)
